Steve West is Vice-Chancellor, President and CEO of the University of the West of England, Bristol (UWE Bristol).
He is the President of Universities UK (UUK) and Chair of the UUK Mental Health in Higher Education Working Group. He is Chair of the West of England Academic Health Science Network and Non-Executive Director for the Integrated Care Board for Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. He is a Deputy Lieutenant for the County of Gloucestershire and was made Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2017, for services to Higher Education.
