Nikki Linsell is Chief Operating Officer for Public Practice. She is an architecturally trained operation, strategy and change management consultant specialising in social impact startups. She has co-founded and helped set up several built environment charities, and managed complex build projects and research across Europe, Asia and Africa in often challenging contexts.

Nikki has also held senior lecturer positions in Architecture and Urban Design at the University of Nottingham and Brighton and was awarded an EPSRC fund to support her doctorate research on the ethics and economics of the architecture profession and its ‘humanitarian capitalism.’ Following this, she moved into consultancy, overseeing a major university restructure and, more recently, helping raise a pre-seed angel investment for a workplace wellbeing tech start-up.

She is a strong advocate for the effective altruism movement.

Nikki joined Public Practice as its first founding employee in 2018 and as their Chief Operating Officer is responsible for the strategic development and delivery of our vision across our team.
