Gillian Darley

Gillian Darley is a widely published writer, biographer and broadcaster. She co-authored Tomorrow’s New Communities (Joseph Rowntree Foundation, 1991) with David Lock and Peter Hall. Villages of Vision was republished by Five Leaves Publications in 2007. Her most recent book is Excellent Essex (Old Street Publishing 2019). She was awarded an OBE in 2015 ‘for services to the built environment and its conservation’.
