Adam Hawksbee is Deputy Director of the centre-right think tank Onward. His work focuses on increasing economic growth and strengthening communities across the UK, and he has published research on a range of topics including empowering regional mayors, tackling antisocial behaviour and reforming technical education.
He has previously worked as Head of Policy at West Midlands Combined Authority, as a Research Fellow at Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative and as a Parliamentary Researcher for the House of Commons. He earnt a first-class BA in History and Politics from University of Sheffield, and a masters in public policy from Harvard Kennedy school, where his thesis was entitled ‘Reshaping the Economy: Intermediary Bodies and Inclusion in the West Midlands’.
