Modernism 1922 explores the worlds of film, literature, music, politics and more 100 years ago.
The project is run as a tribute to Kevin Jackson. His book, Constellation of Genius: 1922: Modernism and All That Jazz, tells the story of that remarkable year.
1922 saw the publication of James Joyce’s Ulysses and T S Elliot’s The Waste Land; the first year of consistently significant silent film releases; and important artworks. We’ll be exploring this year of cultural significance in film screenings, discussions and new commissions.
