Lyra Poetry Festival Bristol City of Words Kat Lyons and Miles Chambers
Join current Bristol City Poet Kat Lyons (2022-2024) and the former Bristol City Poet Miles Chambers (2016-2018), alongside writers and creatives from communities all around Bristol, for this special showcase celebrating our 2023 festival theme City of Words.
Hear poems written about Bristol from an incredible range of perspectives, styles and themes. Poets Miles Chambers and Kat Lyons will share poems they have written as part of their City Poet commissions, and poets from around the city will share newly written work from recent outreach workshops and activities. Audience members are invited to explore the Lyra Poetry Exhibition in the Bristol Beacon Glass Room, and to write their very own Bristol poems to stick on the public poetry wall.
